S.Joao Structure Installation

FAHR 021.3

Fine Arts and Art Installation Design S.Joao Structure Installation by FAHR 021.3 The design reflects a typical Portuguese street festival - locally known as 'S. João'. Throughout one of Europe's liveliest street festivals, people of Porto venerates Saint John “the Baptist” by traditionally drumming each other with garlic flowers or soft plastic hammers. Characterized by the color of ribbons and flags that fill the streets, along with the fireworks that are launched all the night long, the 'S. João structure' reinterprets this atmosphere with hanging balloon-like forms that are covered by a reflecting, shiny material.
